Does Checkout Revolution add quote requests to PrestaShop?

Yes. Checkout Revolution includes a quote-request (RFQ) workflow on top of the checkout, which is what many B2B and made-to-order stores need.

Quote request workflow in MPR Checkout Revolution
How a quote request flows through MPR Checkout Revolution, from the shopper's request to a managed quote with configurable statuses.

Here is what it does, grounded in the module:

  • Customers request a quote instead of, or alongside, paying immediately. You choose which request fields to collect, including phone, company, project reference and a file attachment, and toggle each one on or off.
  • Your team manages each quote by status: pending, sent, negotiating, accepted, rejected, expired, converted and cancelled. Statuses are colour-coded, can be marked as final, and can send the customer an email automatically when you move the quote into them.
  • Optional price negotiation can be gated by a minimum quantity or minimum cart value, so small carts can continue through normal checkout while larger orders open a negotiation thread with messages back and forth.
  • Accepted quotes can become a real order. Staff can convert a quote from the back office, and the module also has tokenised payment-link handling with an expiry so the customer can pay the agreed quote online. A quote PDF is generated for the customer's records.

The whole workflow lives inside the same module as the checkout, so the quote is based on your PrestaShop catalogue, customer, currency and tax context rather than a separate spreadsheet. It is a paid feature of Checkout Revolution.

The default quote validity is 30 days and the default payment-link validity is 48 hours. Quote references are generated from a configurable format, with the default pattern QUO-{YEAR}-{ID:5}. Payment links use a generated token and are accepted only while the stored token exists and the expiry date is still in the future.

Guest quote requests are controlled separately from normal customer requests. The quote request controller allows guest access technically, but the configuration default is quote_allow_guest = false; if guest quotes are disabled and the visitor is not logged in, they are redirected to authentication. When guest quotes are allowed, the form collects guest email, first name and last name.

From the admin side, the quote is editable until it is converted, expired or moved into a final status. Staff can add catalogue products, combinations or custom free-text line items, adjust quantity, price and discounts, add quote-level discounts, send messages, change status and generate the payment link. Direct conversion creates a new PrestaShop cart, adds the product-backed quote items, and validates an awaiting-payment order with ps_wirepayment when that module is available; otherwise it falls back to the Checkout Revolution module instance. The order state comes from PS_OS_BANKWIRE, falling back to PS_OS_CHEQUE. That is a hard-coded conversion path, not a quote-specific configurable payment-module selector.

That makes the RFQ flow practical for trade pricing, project orders, custom quantities and orders that need a document attached. The key merchant gotcha is status discipline: if you mark a status as final, the quote stops being editable or convertible in the normal workflow.
