Downloadable Demo Terms of Service

These Downloadable Demo Terms of Service (“Demo Terms”) govern your use of any free trial or demo version of a module provided by mypresta.rocks (operated by mywebpage.rocks). By downloading, installing, or using a demo module, you agree to be bound by these Demo Terms in addition to our general Terms and Conditions.

1. Purpose of the Demo

Demo modules are provided free of charge for the sole and exclusive purpose of evaluating the module’s features, functionality, and compatibility with your PrestaShop store. The demo is intended to let you verify that the module meets your needs before making a purchase decision. It is not intended for production use on stores that serve real customers or process real transactions.

2. Trial Period & Validity

The demo period lasts 30 calendar days from the date you download the module.
During this period, you may install the module on one test or staging environment to evaluate it.
The trial period cannot be paused, extended, or restarted without our explicit written consent.
After the 30-day period, the demo will automatically cease to function. To continue using the module, you must purchase the full version.
Upon purchasing a full license, the standard Terms and Conditions and Licensing Policy will apply, including access to support, updates, and ongoing maintenance.

3. Staging Environment — Strongly Recommended

We strongly recommend that you install the demo module in a staging or development copy of your PrestaShop store, not on your live production environment. This ensures:

Your live store remains unaffected during testing.
Any potential conflicts with existing modules, themes, or customizations are identified safely.
You can evaluate the module thoroughly without risk to your business operations or customer data.

If you choose to install the demo on a production store, you do so entirely at your own risk. See Section 7 (Disclaimer of Liability) below.

4. Strictly Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited and constitute a violation of these Terms and applicable intellectual property laws:

Code Modification: You may not modify, alter, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or create derivative works based on the demo module in any way. The module code is protected by copyright and any attempt to modify it is illegal under applicable intellectual property law.
Circumvention: Any attempt to bypass, disable, remove, or extend the trial period, licensing checks, or any other technical protection measures through technical means is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.
Production Use: The demo module must not be used on a live store serving real customers.
Redistribution: You may not share, distribute, upload, sell, sublicense, or otherwise make the demo module available to any third party.
Multiple Trials: Each customer is entitled to one trial period per module. Repeated trial requests using different accounts, emails, or identities may be declined and constitute a violation of these Terms.

5. Mandatory Removal Upon Non-Purchase

If you decide not to purchase the module after the 30-day trial period, you are required to:

Uninstall the module completely from your PrestaShop back office.
Delete all module files from your server (the module directory and any associated files).
Remove any database tables, configuration entries, or data created by the module during the trial.
Destroy any backup copies that contain the module files.

Continued use of a demo module beyond the 30-day period without a valid license constitutes a breach of these Terms and a violation of our intellectual property rights.

6. What the Demo Includes and Does NOT Include

Included:

Full-featured module functionality (identical to the purchased version) for the duration of the trial.
The module is pre-configured for your specified domain.

NOT included:

No technical support — we do not provide installation assistance, configuration help, debugging, or any other form of technical support for demo versions. Support activates only upon purchase of a full license.
No updates — you will not receive updates, patches, or new versions during the trial period.
No warranty — the demo is provided without any warranty, guarantee of compatibility, or commitment to fitness for a particular purpose.

7. Disclaimer of Liability

Demo modules are provided “as is” and “as available” without any warranty, express or implied.

We accept no responsibility whatsoever for:

Any damage, data loss, corruption, or adverse effects caused by the installation, configuration, or use of a demo module.
Conflicts with your existing modules, themes, custom code, or server environment.
Any business interruption, lost revenue, or consequential damages resulting from the use of demo software.
Any issues arising from installing the demo on a production environment.

It is your sole responsibility to test the module in a safe, isolated environment and to maintain complete backups before installing any software on your store.

8. Transition to Paid License

If you are satisfied with the module and wish to continue using it:

Purchase a license from mypresta.rocks before the trial period expires.
Upon purchase, your trial installation seamlessly converts to a fully licensed copy with access to dedicated support, updates, and all benefits described in our Terms and Conditions and Licensing Policy.
No reinstallation is required — your existing setup and configuration are preserved.

9. Monitoring & Enforcement

Demo modules include technical measures to verify compliance with the trial period and licensing terms. We reserve the right to:

Verify that demo modules are being used in accordance with these Terms.
Automatically disable or limit functionality of demo modules after the trial period expires.
Track and log usage of demo software for compliance and anti-piracy purposes.
Take legal action against unauthorized use, code modification, or redistribution.

10. Reporting Issues & Feedback

While we do not provide formal support for demo versions, we value your feedback. If you encounter a bug, a problem with installation, or have a feature request:

Please contact us at info@mypresta.rocks with a description of the issue.
Depending on the nature and severity of the reported problem, you may be eligible for a 10–20% discount on the full version of the module.
We appreciate reports that help us improve our products for all users.
