Messenger Chat Integration

Messenger Contact Button + Icon or Bar Style + Page Targeting

PrestaShop 1.6 – 9.0PHP 7.1+Version 1.1.14
Price: €69.00
Tax excluded

PrestaShop Messenger chat gives shoppers a familiar way to ask questions before they abandon a product page or checkout. Messenger Chat Integration adds a floating Facebook Messenger entry point to your store, helping customers contact your Facebook Page about delivery, stock, sizing or returns while you control where and how the widget appears.

The module stays inactive until a Facebook Page ID is configured. With an App ID it can render Facebook customer chat SDK mode; without one it can render a floating m.me link button. Back Office settings cover position, icon or bar style, call-to-action text, color, size, margin, tooltip, animation, greeting text, page targeting, mobile visibility and display delay.

It is a focused chat integration, not a CRM replacement. Setup is handled from the module configuration, and storefront CSS is registered only when the widget is active and the Page ID is present.

  • Facebook Page ID required. The widget stays inactive until a numeric Facebook Page ID is configured, and the required-config warning explains the missing field.
  • Two output modes. With an App ID, the template renders Facebook's customer chat SDK; without one, it renders a floating m.me link button.
  • Appearance controls. Back Office settings cover position, icon or bar style, call-to-action text, color, size, margin, tooltip and animation.
  • Greeting for SDK mode. The configured greeting is passed to the Facebook customer chat plugin for logged-in and logged-out greeting text when SDK mode is used.
  • Page and mobile behavior. Shared chat settings include page targeting, show-on-mobile and delay controls for deciding where the Messenger entry point appears.
  • Storefront CSS loading. The module loads its storefront CSS only when the widget is active and the Page ID is present.
  • Delayed fallback button. In link-button mode, the template can hide the widget initially and reveal it after the configured number of seconds.

Facebook Messenger chat button for PrestaShop

Messenger Chat Integration adds a floating Facebook Messenger contact button to your PrestaShop storefront so shoppers can message your Facebook Page from selected storefront pages. Customers often ask final questions about delivery, stock, sizing or returns before buying, and slow answers can turn a ready buyer into an abandoned session. This module gives them a familiar Messenger route while letting you control button style, position, greeting, mobile visibility, page targeting and delay. It can work as a clean m.me link or, with a Facebook App ID, as the full embedded Messenger chat surface.

Capture questions before visitors leave

When a shopper is uncertain, the cost of friction is usually a lost order rather than a delayed order. If the only contact route is hidden in the footer, many visitors will simply compare elsewhere. A clear Messenger entry point lets shoppers ask at the moment of hesitation, helping reduce avoidable lost sales.

Use your existing Facebook Page workflow

Many merchants already answer customer messages through the Messenger inbox or mobile app. Adding a separate helpdesk can create more work if your team is not ready to manage another system. This module keeps conversations in Messenger while giving your PrestaShop store a managed and professional contact button.

Choose the right Messenger mode for your setup

Not every store has the Facebook app configuration needed for full embedded chat. Forcing that setup can delay launch and create unnecessary technical work for a simple contact need. The module supports both SDK mode with an App ID and a fallback m.me link button without one, so shoppers can reach you either way.

Avoid intrusive chat placement

A chat button can help on product pages and checkout but feel distracting if it appears too early or takes too much mobile space. Intrusive widgets can hurt trust and make the page harder to use. With page targeting, mobile visibility and load delay, you decide where Messenger supports conversion instead of interrupting it.

SDK or m.me link setup without theme edits

The module is a focused Messenger integration, not an overbuilt CRM or helpdesk replacement. You configure the Facebook Page ID, optional App ID, appearance, greeting and display rules from Back Office with no theme edits. The module is responsive through mobile visibility and placement controls, and it can delay loading so the page content remains the first thing shoppers see. It is easier to maintain than pasting Messenger code into templates because the configuration is kept in Back Office and can remain in place through theme changes.

Works Well With Messenger Chat Integration

Modules our team genuinely pairs with this one — and exactly why each belongs in the same setup.

Better Contact Form
€69.00
Complement

A store using Messenger Chat Integration offers a floating Facebook Messenger entry point so shoppers can ask quick questions about delivery, stock, sizing or returns before they leave. Live chat suits fast, informal exchanges, but it depends on someone being available and does not capture the structured, complete details a quote, return or business enquiry really needs.

Better Contact Form covers that asynchronous, structured side, letting you build multiple storefront forms for support, returns, quote requests or business messages with custom fields and required validation, so shoppers supply what your team needs before a conversation starts. It is a separate intake channel, not a chat widget.

With both, your store handles immediate questions through Messenger and detailed, off-hours enquiries through structured forms. Visitors who want a quick reply get one, while those with a complex request leave complete information your team can act on, covering two genuinely different contact needs without forcing every enquiry into chat.

FAQ Manager
€99.00
Complement

Messenger Chat Integration gives shoppers a Facebook Messenger button to reach your Page when something is unclear. Many of those questions are the same routine ones, though, about shipping, returns, compatibility or product use, and answering each by chat repeats work that could have been resolved before the shopper ever opened the widget.

FAQ Manager covers that by turning repeated questions into structured content connected to your catalogue, with categories, questions, translations and product assignments, so customers find answers themselves before contacting support. It is a self-serve knowledge layer, distinct from a live chat channel.

Running both, the FAQ deflects the predictable questions while Messenger stays open for the genuinely specific ones. Shoppers who want to read get an instant answer, those who still need a person reach you on Facebook, and your team spends Messenger time on real conversations instead of repeating the same shipping or returns explanation.

Support Revolution
€299.00
Workflow

A store using Messenger Chat Integration relies on a Facebook Messenger button for shoppers to ask quick pre-sale questions. Messenger is good for that immediacy, but conversations there are scattered, lack order context and are hard to track once a customer needs real follow-up across multiple replies.

Support Revolution covers that with a help desk inside the shop: logged-in customers open tickets, guest creation can be enabled, and staff work with ticket history, customer identity and order-related context close to the data that matters. It is a structured support workflow, separate from a storefront chat widget.

Together they form a natural escalation path: Messenger handles the fast, low-stakes question, while anything needing history, order detail or careful follow-up moves into ticketing. Your team answers casual queries where shoppers are comfortable and manages real service cases with proper context, rather than losing important threads in a chat window.

Ask About Product
€49.00
Complement

With Messenger Chat Integration, a store gives shoppers a general Messenger entry point for questions of any kind. That channel is broad and lives off to the side, so a precise question about the specific product someone is viewing can lose the product context once the chat opens in a separate Messenger thread.

Ask About Product covers that narrowly, adding an Ask a question button near the product details that opens a popup form with name, email and message fields, keeping the product context inside the enquiry workflow. It is a focused, product-anchored enquiry tool rather than a general chat.

Running both, casual or wide-ranging questions go through Messenger while product-specific doubts are captured in context through the enquiry form. Your team can tell at a glance which product a question concerns, and shoppers get a clear way to ask about fit or details without leaving the page or losing the link to what they were looking at.
