WhatsApp Chat Integration is a module for PrestaShop stores that adds a WhatsApp conversation button and carries the context into the chat: the customer writes with a prepared message containing the product name and page address. Setup is one field, your phone number.

WhatsApp is a messaging service used by more than three billion people in over 180 countries, so the customer needs no new installation or account to contact you. The conversation takes place in the customer’s own app on the phone already at hand, and the thread remains after the sale, so both sides see what was agreed when the customer returns a month later about a return. Photos, videos and documents also travel in the conversation, turning a damaged parcel corner or an unknown part into something the customer shows instead of describes.

The module decides where and how the button appears. You choose the pages: the whole store, product pages only, categories only, or the cart and checkout only. You also choose the format: a round icon or a bar with text, on the left or right, in a selected colour and size, with a conversation prompt and a pulse or bounce. Edge spacing and a delay in seconds are adjustable, while one switch hides the button on phones when every piece of screen space matters.

You write the message yourself, separately for each store language, and the product name and page address enter it automatically. The customer’s first message therefore already explains what the question concerns, removing the need to ask which product is meant.

The result is contact through a channel customers keep close, every question arriving with its context, photos replacing lengthy descriptions, and a launch that takes a minute.

What does WhatsApp Chat Integration do?

  • Setup through one field, your phone number
  • A prepared message with the product name and page address, set separately for each language
  • Page coverage across the whole store, product pages, categories, or the cart
  • A round icon or text bar, left or right placement, colour, size and edge spacing
  • A conversation prompt with a pulse or bounce
  • Mobile hiding and an appearance delay set in seconds

WhatsApp Chat Integration adds a WhatsApp conversation button to the store and carries the context of the current page into the chat. All configuration fits on one screen in the store dashboard.

How does the question arrive with its context?

A customer writing from a product page sends a message containing that product’s name and the page address. There is no need to ask which model is meant or request a link.

You write the message and set it separately for each store language, so a German customer sends a German sentence rather than a template translated automatically.

How does the customer show the issue instead of describing it?

In WhatsApp, the customer sends a photo, video or document. A damaged corner of a parcel, a part that needs a match, or a screenshot of a payment error arrives as evidence rather than a long explanation.

A contact form never closes that gap. The same issue takes three emails and two days by email, while one photo and one reply settle it in WhatsApp.

Why is this channel already close at hand?

More than three billion people in over 180 countries use WhatsApp. The customer installs nothing new and creates no account to write to you.

The conversation remains after the sale. When the same customer returns a month later about a return or another order, the thread is where both sides left it, together with the photos and agreements.

Where and how does the button appear?

The button appears throughout the store, only on product pages, only in categories, or only in the cart and during checkout.

Its format follows the store’s design: a round icon or a bar with text, on the left or right, in a selected colour and size, with adjustable spacing from the edge. A prompt invites the conversation, while a pulse or bounce draws attention exactly where required.

How does the button protect speed and mobile space?

The button appears after the delay you set, so it does not cover the product image in the first second of the visit.

One switch hides it on phones when every part of a small screen matters. The store loads no external conversation script: the button leads directly to the WhatsApp app on the customer’s device.

Works Well With WhatsApp Chat Integration

Modules our team genuinely pairs with this one, and exactly why each belongs in the same setup.

Better Contact Form
€69.00
Complement

A store using WhatsApp Chat Integration offers a click-to-chat link that opens WhatsApp with an optional prefilled message, ideal for shoppers who want a fast answer before buying. That channel is quick and personal, but it relies on availability and is not built to collect the structured details a return, quote or business message requires.

Better Contact Form covers that structured intake with multiple storefront forms for support, returns, quote requests or business messages, custom fields and required validation, so shoppers provide what your team needs before any conversation starts. It is a separate, form-based channel rather than instant messaging.

With both, quick questions flow through WhatsApp while detailed or after-hours enquiries arrive as complete, structured submissions. Shoppers choose the path that suits their need, and your team gets either a fast chat or a fully described request, covering two distinct contact behaviours without funnelling everything into one channel.

FAQ Manager
€99.00
Complement

WhatsApp Chat Integration renders a wa.me link so shoppers can reach your team quickly through an app they already use. A large share of those messages repeat the same questions, though, about shipping, returns, compatibility or product use, which is effort spent answering things a shopper could have found on their own.

FAQ Manager covers that by structuring repeated questions into catalogue-connected content with categories, questions, translations and product assignments, helping customers decide faster before they contact support. It is a self-serve knowledge base, separate from a chat link.

Running both, the FAQ resolves predictable questions up front while WhatsApp stays available for the ones that genuinely need a person. Shoppers who prefer reading get immediate answers, those who want to message still can, and your team spends WhatsApp time on real conversations rather than retyping the same delivery or returns details.

Support Revolution
€299.00
Workflow

A store with WhatsApp Chat Integration lets shoppers open a chat from the product, cart or checkout page for a quick answer. WhatsApp suits that immediacy, but the conversations sit outside the shop, carry no order context and become hard to track once a customer needs sustained follow-up.

Support Revolution covers that with an in-shop help desk where logged-in customers open tickets, guests can be enabled, and staff work with ticket history, customer identity and order-related context near the relevant data. It is a structured ticketing workflow rather than a messaging shortcut.

Used together, WhatsApp handles the fast pre-sale question while anything requiring history or order detail escalates into ticketing. Your team answers casual queries where customers are comfortable and manages real service cases with proper records, so important issues are not lost in a WhatsApp thread that nobody can search later.

Ask About Product
€49.00
Complement

With WhatsApp Chat Integration, a store provides a general click-to-chat route for shoppers who want to message before buying. That route is broad and opens an external app, so a precise question about the exact product on screen can drift away from its product context once the chat begins.

Ask About Product covers that specifically, placing an Ask a question button near the product details that opens a popup form with name, email and message fields and keeps the product context inside the enquiry workflow. It is a focused, product-anchored tool, not a general messaging channel.

Running both, wide-ranging or off-topic questions go to WhatsApp while product-specific doubts are captured in context on the page. Your team immediately sees which product an enquiry concerns, and shoppers get a clean way to ask about fit or details without leaving the product or losing the connection to what they were viewing.
