Total Products Sold Counter

Sales proof taken from real, valid orders. Hidden until the number is high enough to persuade

Price: €49.00
Tax excluded

Total Products Sold Counter is a module for PrestaShop stores that turns validated sales into counters on product pages and catalogue views. Installation, activation and a minimum value are enough to put the first badge live.

A strong sales history is useful only when the customer sees it, and the number has to remain credible. The module uses accepted shop sales, without an invented starting value, multiplier or random range.

You choose whether each counter reports sold units, valid orders or unique buyers. You also set the order statuses and sales period, the minimum value, wording, position, colours, typeface, background, border and icon.

Separate settings cover product pages, product lists, category pages, the homepage and Quick View. Rules select products, categories and customer groups, control dates and weekly hours, keep counts separate for every shop, and provide the right wording for every storefront language.

The benefits are credible social proof, clearer product comparison, less purchase uncertainty and a sales badge that works without fabricated urgency or sending shopper data to another company.

What does the module add to the shop?

Total Products Sold Counter turns validated PrestaShop sales into visible social proof and keeps every displayed result tied to an actual measure, without controls for inflating it.

The first badge starts with installation, activation and a minimum value. Deeper settings then cover the measure, period, wording, audience, location, schedule and appearance.

  • Verified totals: sold units, valid orders or unique buyers, based on the selected order states and sales period.
  • Visible proof: counters on product pages, product lists, category pages, the homepage and Quick View.
  • Useful numbers: a minimum keeps weak totals out of sight until they support the product.
  • Precise rules: products, categories, customer groups, dates and weekly hours determine visibility.
  • Languages and shops: each storefront receives its own wording, settings and sales result.
  • Simple operation: local display, installation verification and clear administration keep ongoing work small.

Which sales does the counter report?

The selected measure decides what the number means. Sold units add every piece in accepted orders, valid orders count purchases once, and unique buyers count people instead of items. Guest purchases follow the rule defined in the settings.

You choose the accepted order states and either the complete sales history or a rolling period. Invented starting values, multipliers and random figures never enter the result, so the wording always describes the underlying fact.

Where does the sales proof appear?

Each catalogue context has its own switch and settings: product page, product list, category page, homepage and Quick View. The same product therefore carries its established demand into both detailed reading and quick comparison.

Position, wording, colour, typeface, background, border, icon and icon size are selected separately for each context. The badge stays compact and follows the visual language of the shop instead of taking over the product presentation.

When and for whom is a counter visible?

The minimum value hides a result until it becomes useful. At a minimum of 25, a total of 24 remains absent and the counter appears when the result reaches 25.

You choose included or excluded products and categories, customer groups, start and end dates, and recurring weekly hours. Ordered rules make overlapping conditions predictable, while separate settings let a product-page counter behave differently from one in a category list.

How does the counter fit every language and shop?

Every storefront language has its own natural wording around the number, with a fallback when a translation is left empty. The displayed text therefore matches the language used for product names, prices and checkout.

In a multistore installation, each shop keeps its own settings and counts only its own accepted sales. Thresholds, contexts, audiences, appearance and schedules stay independent, so activity in one shop never changes the proof shown in another.

How much work does the module require?

Installation creates sensible defaults, and activation plus a minimum value puts the first badge on the shop. The administration panel then keeps advanced choices grouped by measure, context, audience, language and appearance.

The storefront counter works locally, without tracking shoppers, placing a storefront cookie or contacting an outside service for the badge. Installation verification, diagnostics and update notices help keep the module ready while the merchant stays focused on the catalogue.

Works Well With Total Products Sold Counter

Modules our team genuinely pairs with this one, and exactly why each belongs in the same setup.

Complement

A merchant running Total Products Sold Counter shows an honest units-sold badge on product pages, drawn from valid completed orders, as a simple trust signal that real people have bought the item. That single figure is credible but narrow; it speaks to sales alone, not to the broader sense of current activity around a product.

Product Sales & Views Live Stats is a separate tool that turns recent product activity into configurable social proof, counting views by distinct guest within a window, basing sales on valid orders, with optional listing badges and a recent-purchases modal. It adds the live, multi-signal view the counter does not.

Used together, the counter states the long-run total while the live stats convey recent momentum and viewing interest. A merchant gives shoppers both an established track record and a sense of current attention, two complementary tools where one shows cumulative proof and the other shows what is happening now.

Sales Popup
€99.00
Complement

A merchant using Total Products Sold Counter anchors trust on the product page itself, showing a real units-sold figure from valid orders for the exact item a shopper is viewing. That per-product proof is solid, but it does nothing to make the wider store feel active while people browse around.

Sales Popup is a separate tool that shows controlled recent-purchase messages across the storefront from real valid orders, generated notifications or a mix, helping a quiet shop feel busy. It works the whole store rather than a single product page.

Run alongside each other, the counter backs up the specific product with concrete numbers while the popup conveys general activity across the site. A merchant reinforces trust at two levels at once, the individual item and the overall store, two complementary tools where one proves the single product and the other signals a busy shop.

Complement

A merchant running Total Products Sold Counter adds a factual units-sold badge based on real completed orders, which is persuasive precisely because it is honest and earned. That credibility, though, is limited to one message; it cannot flag a product as new, on sale or limited the way merchandising needs.

Custom Product Badges is a separate tool that highlights messages such as New, Sale, Bestseller or Limited on product pages and listings, each badge with its own label, colours, position and active state, without editing images or templates. It handles editorial emphasis, not sales facts.

Used together, the counter supplies the genuine sales proof while the custom badges carry the curated selling points you choose. A merchant blends earned credibility with deliberate merchandising messages, two complementary tools where one shows what customers actually did and the other tells shoppers what to notice.

Complement

A merchant using Total Products Sold Counter shows how many units a product has sold, a quantitative trust signal that says others have bought it. Numbers tell shoppers a product is popular, but they say nothing about how reviewers rated it, which is a different reassurance.

Reviews & Ratings is a separate tool that adds native ratings, written feedback, optional photo reviews and review criteria for products, categories, CMS pages and the store itself, with moderation, helping build trust inside PrestaShop. It supplies qualitative feedback the counter cannot.

Run alongside each other, the counter shows that many units have sold while reviews show what reviewers thought of the product. A merchant pairs popularity with the customer verdict, two complementary tools where one quantifies demand and the other voices moderated customer feedback, giving shoppers a fuller basis for confidence.
