Custom Product Badges places text, image or icon labels on product photos in PrestaShop lists and product pages. A preset, product selection and activation put your first badge live in minutes.
Promotions, new arrivals and stock messages need to stand out while shoppers browse products side by side. A badge explains the relevant distinction before someone opens the full description.
You adjust appearance and image position in a live preview, assign products manually or through catalogue rules, and schedule start and end dates. Priorities and placement rules keep overlapping badges readable. Each language and shop has its own settings, and displaying badges contacts no outside service.
A low-stock label follows its inventory threshold automatically, saving your team from repeatedly checking and relabelling the same products.
What does the module add to the catalogue?
Custom Product Badges places promotional and informational labels on product images in catalogue views and on product pages. The first badge starts from a ready-made preset in minutes, while the same panel provides detailed control for large catalogues and overlapping campaigns.
- Clear campaign messages: text, image and icon badges make promotions and product advantages visible during comparison.
- Previewed design: appearance and image position are settled before publication.
- Precise assignment: one product, a selected group or automatic catalogue rules receive the badge.
- Right place and time: page, device, date, language and shop settings control every display.
- Predictable combinations: priorities and placement rules keep several badges readable on one product.
- Small daily workload: filters, bulk actions, switches, system diagnostics and built-in support simplify ongoing management.

What does a badge look like before publication?
The starting library contains New, Sale, Bestseller and Limited presets. Each one remains fully editable, and a badge also starts from custom text, an uploaded image or an icon. Dynamic values insert the current discount, price or stock into the message when the offer depends on live catalogue data.
The editor sets text and background colours, type, size, shape, dimensions, opacity and rotation. Placement ranges from the product image corners to an exact position, and the live preview shows product-page and catalogue-card results at desktop and mobile widths before the badge goes live.

Which products receive each badge?
A special product receives a badge directly from the product search. Larger campaigns use product groups, categories, tags, brands, suppliers, features and product types, with a preview of every item matched before the assignment is saved.
Automatic rules also follow new arrivals, discounted products, bestsellers, stock levels, quantity ranges, prices and discount thresholds. Several conditions work together, and an explicit priority decides the result when more than one rule matches the same product.

Where and when does each badge appear?
Product pages, category and search lists, the home page and Quick View have separate visibility settings. Desktop and mobile display are controlled independently, so a badge keeps the right scale and position without covering the part of the product image that matters.
Start and end dates run campaigns on schedule. Every storefront language carries its own natural wording and media, while each shop keeps separate assignments and settings in a multistore catalogue.

What happens when campaigns overlap?
One product displays several active badges at the same time. Their priorities and chosen image positions establish a stable order, while collision handling stacks labels cleanly when two campaigns use the same corner.
Rule changes remain automatic: a low-stock badge appears when inventory crosses its threshold, a promotion label disappears at its end date and a new-arrival badge follows the age condition. Manual badges remain in place alongside automatic ones until the merchant switches them off.

How much work does daily badge management take?
A preset, product selection and activation put the first badge live in minutes. The central list then filters badges by product, wording, colour, order and status, while bulk assignment, bulk removal, individual switches and one global switch keep campaign changes compact.
The shop produces badge output from its own catalogue data and contacts no outside service to display it. Installation validation, diagnostics, update notices and a support workspace inside the module help keep the system ready without turning routine merchandising into a technical task.

Works Well With Custom Product Badges
Modules our team genuinely pairs with this one, and exactly why each belongs in the same setup.
A merchant running Custom Product Badges highlights selling points like New, Sale or Limited on listings and product pages, drawing attention to chosen items. A Sale badge is more convincing when there is a genuine, well-timed discount behind it, and the badge tool does not change any prices.
Smart Dynamic & Scheduled Discounts is a separate tool that runs timed promotions and flash sales that start and stop automatically, storing type, dates, active state, priority and shop scope so pricing changes without manual edits. It supplies the actual reduction.
Used together, the discounts engine sets the real price drop while the badges make the affected products stand out as shoppers scan. A merchant can run a scheduled sale and visually flag exactly which items it covers, two complementary tools where one changes the price and the other communicates the offer at a glance during browsing.
A merchant using Custom Product Badges adds chosen labels like Bestseller or Limited to make products stand out, with manual assignments or automatic catalogue rules, including bestsellers. A Bestseller label carries more weight when a visible sales total accompanies it.
Total Products Sold Counter is a separate tool that adds a units-sold badge to product pages from real sales in valid completed orders. It supplies a dedicated numeric measure beside the custom badge.
Run alongside each other, the custom badge frames the message you want to make while the counter shows the genuine sales figure beneath it. A merchant pairs curated emphasis with earned evidence, two complementary tools where one states the selling point and the other proves it with real order data, strengthening the credibility of both.
A merchant running Custom Product Badges draws the eye to selected products with labels like New or Sale, which works on a single tile but does not actively place related products in front of shoppers or push order value upward. Highlighting is passive; merchandising is not.
Sales Revolution is a separate tool that combines recommendations, add-to-cart suggestions, limited deals and campaign pricing infrastructure so stores can raise order value with controlled Back Office workflows. It actively surfaces and suggests products rather than just labelling them.
Used together, the badges flag the products you want noticed while Sales Revolution drives recommendations and upsell around the catalogue. A merchant combines on-tile emphasis with active cross-sell, two complementary tools where one makes chosen items stand out and the other works to lift basket size, each contributing to conversion in its own way.
A merchant using Custom Product Badges marks selected products with flexible labels of their own choosing, controlling colour, text and position per badge. That general system covers any product, and bundle offers also benefit from a dedicated contents display.
Pack Product Badges is a separate tool that recognises pack products automatically, marks them in listings automatically and adds a product-page tab explaining which products are included. It handles packs specifically, alongside the general badge tool’s manual and automatic labels.
Run alongside each other, the custom badges handle arbitrary highlights across the catalogue while Pack Product Badges gives bundles their dedicated listing mark and contents tab. A merchant gets both free-form labelling and purpose-built pack signalling, two complementary tools where one covers any product and the other speaks to bundles directly.
