Product and Store Reviews is a module for PrestaShop stores that runs the shop's whole review system inside the shop's own database: product reviews, store reviews, and reviews for categories and content pages, with stars, photos, rating criteria and public replies. Installation adds the review areas and the public reviews page, and collection starts with the switches you turn on.
The problem it settles is ownership. Ratings gathered on a rented platform belong to the platform: change provider or stop paying, and years of proof vanish from the product pages, together with the review data search engines were reading. Here every rating, every photo and every reply is a record in your own store, and no subscription decision touches it.
The module is simple to start and deep to run. Staff moderate from a workspace with pending, approved and spam states, filters and one-click replies that appear under the review. You decide whether guests write, how much time passes between submissions from the same visitor, how many photos a review carries and at what size, and which elements shoppers see: stars on listing cards, a rating badge that jumps to the reviews tab, verified-purchase badges, usefulness votes, a report link, dates and your own 1 to 5 criteria per review type. Shoppers sort reviews by newest or by rating and filter them by stars, and the automatic protection against machine submissions stays off until you want it.
Collection runs itself: when an order reaches its delivered status, an invitation goes out after a delay you set, asking about the exact products bought. Search engines read rating and review structured data built from the same local records, the public reviews hub is delivered ready-rendered, and reviews you earned elsewhere come home too: Trustpilot and Google business reviews synchronize into the same store, and existing reviews arrive from a file. Data-protection requests export or anonymise a customer's reviews in one action, and every shop in a multistore keeps its own records.
Product pages convert because real buyers speak on them with photos and verified badges, stars follow your products into search results, every complaint carries your answer under it, and the proof you collect this year is still yours in ten.
Summary of what the module offers
Product and Store Reviews collects, moderates and displays reviews for products, categories, content pages and the store itself, from the shop's own database. The sections below map the whole of that work.
- Where shoppers meet reviews: listing stars, the product page tab, the rating badge and a public reviews hub.
- Honest collection: invitations after delivery, guest rules, verified purchases and spam defence.
- Moderation: statuses, filters, public replies, notifications and your own rating criteria.
- Search engines: rating and review structured data built from the same local records.
- Reviews from elsewhere: Trustpilot and Google business reviews synchronized in, files imported.
- Ownership and the law: your database, data-protection exports, per-shop separation.

Where do shoppers meet the reviews?
Everywhere a decision happens. Listing cards carry stars, so proof works before the click. The product page carries the full review tab with photos, criteria grades, verified-purchase badges and your replies, and a compact rating badge jumps straight to it. A public reviews hub lists everything in one place, with tabs for product and store reviews and clean pages search engines walk through.
Shoppers sort by newest or by rating and filter by stars, usefulness votes push the helpful reviews up, and a report link lets readers flag what does not belong. Each element has its own switch, so the storefront shows exactly the proof you decided to show.

How is collection kept honest and steady?
The steadiest source of reviews is the buyer who just received the parcel. When an order reaches its delivered status, the module writes an invitation for that order's products and sends it after a delay you choose in days, so the request arrives when the product is in use, not when the box is still sealed.
Honesty is enforced structurally. A reviewer who bought the product carries a verified-purchase badge computed from real orders. You decide whether guests write at all, a minimum time between submissions stops flooding, a spam detector catches machine-written entries, and stricter automatic verification is one switch away when you want it. Names appear anonymised when you choose, so proof and privacy coexist.

What does moderation look like day to day?
One workspace, three states. New reviews wait as pending, approval publishes them, spam disappears from sight but stays on record. Filters by status, type and rating turn a long queue into a short one, and the reply box publishes your answer under the review with its date, where every future reader sees that the store answers.
You define what a rating even is: for each review type you create up to five of your own criteria, so a store review measures delivery and service while a product review measures quality and value. The module mails you when a new review arrives, and mails the customer when their review is approved or answered, so nobody watches a queue and nobody wonders what happened to their words.

What do search engines read?
The same records shoppers see. The module writes rating and review structured data for products from your local reviews, with the average, the count and the individual entries, so the stars that appear with your products in search results are fed by data you own, not by a third party's widget.
The public hub is delivered fully rendered by your server, its addresses are clean and join your sitemap, and the module's files are your files: the storefront loads nothing from outside for native reviews. Proof, in other words, that works for ranking exactly as hard as it works for conversion.

What about reviews living elsewhere, and the law?
Reviews you earned on Trustpilot and on your Google business profile come home. The module connects to both, synchronizes their reviews into local storage on a schedule with a visible last-run status, and shows them on the hub and, when you choose, on product pages, loaded lazily so they cost nothing up front. Existing review archives arrive from a file, so a migration carries its history instead of starting at zero.
The law is handled where the data lives. A customer's data-protection request exports their reviews or anonymises them in one action, and in a multistore every shop keeps its own reviews, stats and settings. Ownership is the quiet feature under all of this: whatever changes in your toolset next year, the proof stays.

Works Well With Product and Store Reviews
Modules our team genuinely pairs with this one, and exactly why each belongs in the same setup.
Reviews & Ratings adds native moderated ratings, written feedback and optional photo reviews on your products, giving shoppers visible customer feedback at the point of decision and your team a way to build trust inside PrestaShop. Reviews recognise reviewers' contributions implicitly, but rewarding repeat spend is a separate goal.
Loyalty Discounts System covers that as a separate tool, assigning shoppers to spending-based tiers linked to native PrestaShop groups so loyal customers receive the group treatment you configure once their valid order spend reaches each threshold.
Used alongside each other, Reviews & Ratings strengthens trust for new shoppers while Loyalty Discounts System rewards the customers who keep coming back. One builds confidence at the first purchase and the other encourages the next, two complementary angles on customer relationships, supporting both acquisition through social proof and retention through tiered rewards.
Reviews & Ratings gives shoppers native moderated ratings, written feedback, optional photo reviews and review criteria, building trust in the same PrestaShop environment where they decide. Customer words and ratings are one form of confidence; a strong look at the product itself is another.
Gallery Revolution covers that as a separate tool, replacing the native gallery with a swipeable layout, thumbnails, full-screen viewing, video and moderated customer photos so shoppers can inspect details and compare angles.
Used alongside each other, Reviews & Ratings supplies the customer verdict while Gallery Revolution sharpens visual inspection of the product. They are independent tools with their own media, so review photos do not feed the product gallery. Together they reassure shoppers from two sides, what others say and what the product looks like up close, on the same decision page.
Reviews & Ratings adds native moderated ratings, written feedback and optional photo reviews on individual products, giving direct verdicts where shoppers decide. Per-product feedback is focused, but shoppers also respond to seeing products used in real-world projects and contexts.
Customer Showcase covers that as a separate tool, turning approved customer projects into controlled social proof with categories, images, product pins, votes and comments that move shoppers from inspiration toward the catalogue.
Used alongside each other, Reviews & Ratings provides concrete per-item verdicts while Customer Showcase provides aspirational, project-based context. They are independent tools with separate content, so review photos and showcase images do not mix. Together they give shoppers both the focused this product is good signal and the broader here is how people use it inspiration, two complementary forms of social proof.
Reviews & Ratings builds trust with native moderated ratings and written feedback that stay visible on product pages where shoppers decide. Accumulated reviews are persuasive, but they show considered opinion rather than the sense that a store is busy and active right now.
Sales Popup covers that as a separate tool, showing controlled activity messages while shoppers browse, using real valid orders, generated notifications or a mixed mode with filters for order age and state.
Used alongside each other, Reviews & Ratings supplies the depth of moderated customer feedback while Sales Popup supplies live-feeling activity across the store. One reassures through what reviewers thought, the other through a sense of current momentum, two complementary social-proof signals, so a quiet-looking store feels both well-reviewed and actively trading.
