A homepage selection chosen once keeps promoting last season while the products people actually look at sit three clicks deep.

Showcase Revolution ranks the catalogue by a velocity score built from real views and valid sales across 1, 7 and 30 day windows, then places the result in ten storefront spots: homepage, category footer, both columns, before the footer, two product-page areas, cart and order confirmation. Besides trending it can source best sellers, new arrivals, sale items, featured products, curated collections and back-in-stock.

Products render through PrestaShop’s listing presenter in your theme’s own product miniature, so the cards match the rest of the shop with no template work. Swiper, CSS and JavaScript are bundled locally and clicks post to your own controller. Events keep product, widget, source, shop and timestamp only – no customer ID, name, e-mail or IP.

  • Widgets bound to a placement. Active widgets are loaded by placement and shop, sorted by position, then rendered in homepage, category, column, footer, product, cart and order-confirmation placements.
  • Eight product sources. Widget types include best sellers, new products, sale products, featured products, trending products, curated collections, back-in-stock products and cart recommendations.
  • Layouts set per device. Widgets can render as grid, slider/carousel, list or compact layouts, with desktop/mobile product counts and slider navigation settings stored per widget.
  • Hand-picked collections, reused anywhere. Collections have multilingual names/descriptions, shop assignment, optional date windows and ordered product membership for manually controlled showcases.
  • Lists that follow real activity. Product views and stock changes feed the trending and back-in-stock lists when the matching feature switches are enabled.
  • Cached where caching is safe. Widget HTML is cached for normal widget types, while cart recommendations and recently-viewed-labelled widgets are excluded from output cache because they are visitor-dependent.
  • Your theme's own product cards. The module adapts colors, radius, shadows, transitions and showcase spacing to the storefront theme, and reuses native product miniature rendering where possible.

Show what is actually selling this week

A homepage block picked by hand in a quiet month keeps running through the busy one, promoting products that stopped earning their place. The trending source ranks products with a configurable velocity score built from shop-specific views and valid sales over one-, seven- and thirty-day windows, with a boost for recent activity. What shoppers meet on the storefront then follows what the catalogue is really doing.

Ten places a product can appear

Active widgets are loaded by placement and shop and rendered in position order on the homepage, the category footer, both columns, the area before the footer, two product-page positions, the cart, the order confirmation and the 404 page. A page that would otherwise be a dead end becomes another chance to be useful. Best-seller, new, sale, trending and back-in-stock feeds can each be restricted to one category, so a widget on a category page shows products from that category rather than the whole shop.

New merchandising without a developer

Changing what a theme file shows means a developer, a staging copy and a deployment window, which is why campaign merchandising is so often skipped. Widgets are created, given a source, a layout and a placement, and published from Back Office. Collections carry multilingual names and descriptions, shop assignment, optional date windows and an explicit product order, and because widgets reference the collection, editing it once updates everywhere it is used.

Curated picks and automatic feeds side by side

Some slots need judgement – a seasonal set, a supplier push, a bundle you want in front of everyone – and others are better left to what shoppers are doing. Eight sources cover both: best sellers, new products, sale products, featured products, trending products, curated collections, back-in-stock items and cart recommendations. Back-in-stock records the moment stock moves from zero to positive and surfaces recently replenished products within a lookback window you set, while new arrivals use either the shop's standard new-product age or a threshold set on that widget.

Native product cards, local assets and no visitor profiling

Products are presented through PrestaShop's listing presenter and rendered with the active theme's own product miniature, so a showcase looks like part of the theme rather than a block bolted onto it, and there is no styling work to redo after a theme update. Swiper, CSS and the storefront JavaScript are bundled locally and clicks post to the shop's own controller, with nothing loaded from a CDN. Widget HTML is cached, apart from cart recommendations and recently-viewed widgets, which depend on the visitor and are excluded on purpose. Merchandising events record product, widget, source, shop and timestamp only – no customer ID, name, email, IP address or tracking cookie – and can be cleaned up from Back Office. Carousels use semantic regions, native buttons with translated ARIA labels, keyboard support, visible focus rings and 44-pixel targets.

Works Well With Trending Product Blocks – Showcase Revolution

Modules our team genuinely pairs with this one – and exactly why each belongs in the same setup.

Mega Menu
€99.00
Complement

Showcase Revolution places curated and dynamic product widgets, best sellers, new arrivals, sale items, featured collections, trending and back-in-stock products, across supported storefront areas to give selected products more visibility. Surfacing products where shoppers browse helps, but they still need a clear structural way to navigate the catalogue.

Mega Menu covers that as a separate tool, turning a large catalogue into structured tabs and dropdown columns for categories, CMS pages, custom URLs and promoted products.

Used alongside each other, Showcase Revolution promotes specific products in context while Mega Menu provides the wayfinding to move around the store. One pushes relevant items into view and the other helps shoppers find their way deliberately, two complementary sides of discovery, so visitors both stumble on worthwhile products and navigate confidently to the sections they want.

Customer Showcase
€149.00
Complement

Showcase Revolution merchandises selected products across the storefront with curated and dynamic widgets, best sellers, new arrivals, sale items and more, putting chosen items in front of shoppers. That is merchant-led promotion; it does not draw on real customers showing how they use your products.

Customer Showcase covers that as a separate tool, turning approved customer projects into controlled social proof with images, product pins, votes and comments that move shoppers from inspiration toward the catalogue.

Used alongside each other, Showcase Revolution promotes the products you choose while Customer Showcase adds authentic, customer-led context. Despite the similar names they are independent tools with different jobs, one curating product visibility and the other surfacing real projects; together they enrich both the promotional and the inspirational sides of how shoppers discover your catalogue.

Complement

Showcase Revolution puts curated and dynamic product widgets across the storefront, surfacing best sellers, new arrivals and other selected items where shoppers browse. Those widgets introduce shoppers to products you choose to promote, but they do not help a shopper get back to items they personally looked at.

Recently Viewed Products covers that as a separate tool, remembering viewed products in the browser for 30 days without login and showing a compact history block.

Used alongside each other, Showcase Revolution drives discovery of merchant-selected products while Recently Viewed Products keeps a shopper's own considered items reachable. One pushes new options forward and the other brings familiar ones back, two complementary navigation aids, so shoppers both encounter products worth a look and easily return to the ones that already caught their interest.

Complement

Showcase Revolution gives selected products more visibility with curated and dynamic widgets, best sellers, new arrivals, featured collections and cart recommendations, placed across supported storefront areas. Showcasing products raises their visibility, but turning that visibility into a bigger basket is a distinct goal with its own mechanics.

Sales Revolution covers that as a separate tool, combining recommendations, add-to-cart suggestions, limited deals and campaign pricing so stores can raise order value through controlled Back Office workflows.

Used alongside each other, Showcase Revolution promotes products where shoppers browse while Sales Revolution works on lifting order value through suggestions and deals. They are independent tools that can overlap around recommendations, so set their roles to complement rather than duplicate; together they cover both broad product visibility and focused basket-building across the journey.
