Disclaimer & Liability Information

Last updated: 15.02.2026

This page provides a comprehensive overview of liability limitations, disclaimers, and risk acknowledgments applicable to all products and services provided by mypresta.rocks. This document supplements (and does not replace) our Terms and Conditions.

1. General Disclaimer

All modules, themes, tools, and services provided by mypresta.rocks are offered “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability.

While we strive to deliver high-quality, well-tested software, we cannot guarantee that our products will be free from defects, errors, or interruptions in every possible environment and configuration.

2. Buyer's Responsibility — Pre-Deployment Testing

It is the buyer's sole responsibility to ensure that any module or theme is compatible with their specific store configuration before deploying it to a live/production environment.

The required testing process is:

  1. Clone your live store to a staging/test environment (identical copy of database and files)
  2. Install the module on the staging environment
  3. Thoroughly test all functionality, including checkout flow, payment processing, admin operations, and any custom integrations
  4. Only after confirming that everything works correctly in staging, deploy to your production store

Deploying a module directly to a production store without prior testing on a staging copy is done entirely at the buyer's own risk.

3. Module Compatibility & Conflicts

PrestaShop stores vary enormously in their configuration. We cannot be held liable for issues arising from:

  • Module conflicts: Incompatibilities between our modules and third-party modules, custom modules, or other modifications installed on your store
  • Theme conflicts: Incompatibilities with custom themes, heavily modified themes, or themes that do not follow PrestaShop coding standards
  • Override conflicts: Conflicts with PHP class overrides, whether from other modules or custom development
  • Hook conflicts: Issues caused by multiple modules registering on the same hooks with conflicting behavior
  • JavaScript/CSS conflicts: Front-end conflicts with third-party scripts, custom JavaScript, or CSS modifications
  • Custom code: Any custom PHP, JavaScript, or template modifications made to your store's core files or theme

4. Server & Hosting Environment

We are not responsible for issues caused by:

  • Insufficient server resources: Inadequate RAM, CPU, disk space, or I/O performance on your hosting
  • PHP configuration: Incorrect or restrictive PHP settings (memory_limit, max_execution_time, disabled functions, etc.)
  • PHP version incompatibility: Using a PHP version outside the range specified in the module requirements
  • MySQL/MariaDB configuration: Database server settings, query limits, connection limits, or version incompatibilities
  • Web server configuration: Apache/Nginx misconfiguration, .htaccess issues, mod_rewrite problems, or proxy/CDN interference
  • SSL/TLS issues: Certificate problems, mixed content errors, or HTTPS configuration issues
  • Shared hosting limitations: Restrictions imposed by shared hosting providers (disabled functions, cron limitations, file permission restrictions)
  • Caching systems: Issues caused by server-side caching (Varnish, Redis, OPcache misconfiguration) or CDN caching

5. Data & Database

We are not responsible for:

  • Data loss: Any loss of data resulting from module installation, configuration, update, or uninstallation. Always maintain regular backups.
  • Database corruption: Corruption caused by interrupted operations, server crashes during module processes, or pre-existing database integrity issues
  • Migration issues: Problems arising from migrating modules between PrestaShop versions, servers, or hosting environments without following proper migration procedures
  • Backup failures: Failure to maintain adequate backups of your store is your sole responsibility. We strongly recommend automated daily backups of both files and database.

6. Updates & Upgrades

  • Module updates should always be tested in a staging environment before applying to production
  • PrestaShop core upgrades may affect module compatibility. After upgrading PrestaShop, test all modules before going live.
  • We make reasonable efforts to maintain compatibility with supported PrestaShop versions, but cannot guarantee immediate compatibility with newly released PrestaShop versions or security patches
  • We are not responsible for issues caused by using modules on PrestaShop versions outside the stated compatibility range

7. Performance & Scalability

  • Module performance depends on your store's size (number of products, categories, customers, orders), server hardware, and overall system configuration
  • We test modules under reasonable conditions but cannot guarantee performance on stores with extremely large catalogs, high traffic volumes, or limited server resources
  • Performance issues caused by your hosting environment, database size, or other installed modules are outside our control

8. Multi-Store & Multi-Language

  • Multi-store compatibility is available only when explicitly stated in the module description
  • Multi-store configurations are inherently more complex and may require additional setup and testing
  • We are not liable for issues specific to multi-store setups unless multi-store support is explicitly advertised for that module

9. Financial & Business Impact

Under no circumstances shall mypresta.rocks be liable for:

  • Lost revenue, lost profits, or lost business opportunities
  • Cost of procurement of substitute goods or services
  • Business interruption or downtime
  • Loss of goodwill or reputation
  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Damages arising from the inability to use a module or service

This applies regardless of the cause of action (contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise) and even if mypresta.rocks has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

10. Maximum Liability Cap

In any event, the total cumulative liability of mypresta.rocks for any and all claims arising from or related to a specific module or service shall not exceed the purchase price paid by you for that specific module or service.

11. Third-Party Integrations

Some modules may integrate with third-party services (payment gateways, shipping carriers, ERP systems, etc.). We are not responsible for:

  • Outages, changes, or discontinuation of third-party services
  • API changes by third-party providers that affect module functionality
  • Data handling practices of third-party services
  • Fees, charges, or costs imposed by third-party service providers

12. Intellectual Property & Code Usage

  • Purchasing a module grants you a license to use it, not ownership of the source code
  • Reverse engineering, decompiling, redistributing, or reselling our modules (or parts thereof) is strictly prohibited
  • Modifying module code is permitted for your own use, but we cannot provide support for modified versions
  • If you modify module code, any resulting issues are your sole responsibility

13. Support Limitations

While we are committed to responding to every support request and working to resolve issues:

  • Support is provided for unmodified modules running on supported PrestaShop versions
  • We cannot debug third-party modules, custom code, or server configuration issues
  • Response times may vary based on support volume; we do not guarantee specific response times
  • Support is provided via email/ticket system; phone support is not available
  • We reserve the right to determine when an issue falls outside the scope of module support (e.g., hosting problems, third-party conflicts)

14. Force Majeure

mypresta.rocks shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, acts of government, internet outages, server failures at third-party providers, cyberattacks, or pandemics.

15. Demo & Trial Specific Disclaimers

  • Demo/trial modules are provided for evaluation purposes only
  • Demo functionality may be limited compared to the full version
  • No support is provided for demo/trial versions beyond basic installation guidance
  • Demo modules must be completely removed if not converted to a paid license within the trial period
  • On-demand demo shops are ephemeral and can be deleted at any time without notice
  • See our Downloadable Demo Terms and On-Demand Demo Terms for full details

16. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

This disclaimer and all related matters shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable to the seller's jurisdiction. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the seller's jurisdiction.

17. Severability

If any provision of this disclaimer is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.

18. Changes to This Document

We reserve the right to update this disclaimer at any time. Changes become effective upon publication on this page. Continued use of our products and services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
