Free Store Tools & Maintenance brings together two free PrestaShop modules for merchants and agencies that need to clear old operational records and keep recurring MyPresta work visible. Database Cleanup counts seven defined groups of old store data before removing one group or completing the full maintenance pass.
Cron Manager gathers registered MyPresta tasks and custom scheduled work in one back office, with due work, recent failures, last and next runs, manual execution and recorded results. Both modules install through the usual module manager and open in dedicated workspaces. The permanent licence includes every feature, while optional paid support remains separate. The result is a quick start, detailed control when the shop needs it, less obsolete data to carry and recurring work that no longer disappears from view.

Which tool fits the maintenance job?
Database Cleanup is the right fit when old carts without orders, search statistics, expired special prices, logs, connection records, guest records or mail history have accumulated. It counts each of these seven groups and gives the merchant a separate action for each one, plus a complete maintenance pass.
Cron Manager addresses a different question: whether recurring work is actually happening. It brings tasks registered by MyPresta modules into one place and also holds custom scheduled work. The first module removes defined old data; the second shows what is due, what finished and what failed.
What happens before old records disappear?
Database Cleanup shows the total and the count for every cleanup job before anything changes. An empty group has no deletion button. A group with records requires confirmation, and the complete pass carries its own warning. Work runs in limited batches with a safety ceiling instead of attempting an unlimited deletion.
The seven scopes are explicit, and orders, invoices, customer accounts and catalogue content remain outside them. Six health checks identify stale data and lead to repair actions that use the same cleanup process. Left unattended, obsolete operational rows accompany every backup and investigation; counted cleanup turns that backlog into a reviewable maintenance decision.
How do scheduled tasks stop failing silently?
Cron Manager shows schedules, active state, due and overdue work, failures from the last day, the previous run, the next run, duration and recorded result. Views for tasks, connected modules, trigger activity and history turn recurring work into something the team verifies from the shop panel.
Each task has direct actions for an immediate run, pause, resume, editing and history. Custom work covers a web address, work inside a module or work performed directly on the server. Without this shared record, a failed process often becomes visible only when a feed, report or synchronisation is already stale.
How much work does a dependable routine require?
Installation follows the normal PrestaShop module flow. Database Cleanup opens with live counts and clear actions. Cron Manager detects participating MyPresta modules, synchronises their task definitions and provides ready frequency choices, while deeper settings cover custom schedules, bulk changes and several ways to start due work.
Server runs separate one task from the next, so one crash does not stop the remaining queue, and simultaneous starts do not repeat work already claimed. When the main server schedule stops reporting, store visits take over due work. The merchant gets a small starting step and enough control for a busy catalogue, without a licence fee hiding behind either module.
