You can use either approach, or both. If you prefer Google Tag Manager, enable the GTM platform and enter your container ID — all ecommerce events will be pushed to the dataLayer in GA4 Enhanced Ecommerce format. If you prefer direct GA4 tracking without GTM, enable the GA4 platform and enter your Measurement ID. You can even run both simultaneously — GTM for custom tags and triggers, GA4 direct for native event tracking.

Marketing Revolution is designed to be lighter than running multiple separate tracking modules. Instead of 8-15 separate JavaScript SDKs each making their own DOM queries and event listeners, you get one unified event dispatch layer. The module also shares gtag.js between GA4 and Google Ads when both are active, avoiding duplicate script loads. That said, each enabled platform does add its own SDK script. If you enable all 15 platforms, that is more JavaScript than enabling 3. Only enable the platforms you actually use.

Most of our modules support multistore, but not all of them do equally well. Modules like Checkout Revolution and SEO Revolution have been thoroughly tested in multistore environments. For some simpler modules, multistore support may be limited — always check the product page or ask us before purchasing if multistore is critical for your setup.

Meta Conversions API sends purchase events from your server directly to Meta, bypassing the browser entirely. This means ad blockers, privacy browsers, and iOS tracking restrictions cannot prevent the event from reaching Meta. You do not strictly need it — the standard Meta Pixel works fine for most visitors — but CAPI significantly improves attribution accuracy. Meta increasingly relies on server-side signals for ad optimization. To use it, generate an Access Token in Meta Events Manager → Settings → Conversions API. The module handles the rest.

The module logs every tracked purchase. A cron job runs every hour and compares completed orders against the tracking log. Any order that exists in PrestaShop but was never tracked (because the customer closed the browser, an ad blocker prevented the pixel, or a network error occurred) is automatically resent via the GA4 Measurement Protocol and/or Meta Conversions API. You can configure the lookback window from 6 to 72 hours. This requires API keys configured for GA4 and/or Meta — without server-side API credentials, there is nothing to resend through.

Our store and module admin interfaces are available in English, German, French, Polish, Italian, and Spanish. The front-end output of most modules adapts to whatever languages you have configured in your PrestaShop store — the text displayed to customers comes from your translations, not hardcoded strings.

Yes, it has a built-in Consent Mode v2 bridge that works with four consent management platforms: our own MPR Cookies Revolution (auto-detected, zero config), Cookiebot/Cybot, IAB TCF v2 (used by many European CMPs), and OneTrust. The bridge sets default consent to "denied" for both analytics and ads (configurable), then updates to "granted" when the user consents. This ensures Google respects the user's choice while still collecting modeled data for consented users.

Yes. Our modules are designed to automatically adapt to any PrestaShop theme — including the default Classic and Hummingbird themes, as well as popular third-party themes. We use a proprietary theme detection system that reads your theme's colors, fonts, and spacing, then applies them to the module's front-end. No CSS editing needed in most cases.

No, our modules are commercial software with a proprietary license. You receive the full PHP source code (not obfuscated or encrypted), so you can inspect it, and your developers can review it for security or compatibility. However, redistribution, resale, or modification of core code for sharing is not permitted under our license terms.

You should not run two modules that inject the same tracking script. If you enable GA4 direct in Marketing Revolution, disable or uninstall any other GA4 module to avoid duplicate events and inflated metrics. The same applies to Meta Pixel, TikTok, etc. Marketing Revolution is designed to be your single tracking module — that is the whole point. If you only want to use it for some platforms (e.g., TikTok and Pinterest) while keeping a separate GA4 module, that works fine as long as you do not enable overlapping platforms in both modules.

Performance is a core focus. All our modules are lightweight and optimised — we minimise database queries, use lazy loading where possible, and avoid heavy JavaScript libraries. Our Performance Revolution module can actually speed up your store by optimising assets, caching, and database queries.

By default, the PrestaShop product ID is used as the item_id in all tracking events. You can change this in Settings → Product Identifier to use the product Reference, EAN-13 barcode, or UPC instead. This is important for Google Merchant Center / Shopping campaigns where your product feed uses a specific identifier format — the tracking events should match your feed for proper attribution.

Every module goes through compatibility testing across PrestaShop 1.7, 8.x, and 9.x before release. We test with multiple PHP versions (7.4 through 8.3+), both MySQL and MariaDB, and popular themes including the default Classic and Hummingbird themes. That said, we cannot test every possible combination of modules, themes, and server setups — which is why we offer the 30-day trial and money-back guarantee.

We avoid core overrides whenever possible. The vast majority of our modules use hooks and Symfony services exclusively. In rare cases where an override is unavoidable (usually for deep PrestaShop 1.6/1.7 compatibility), we document it clearly on the product page. Overrides are one of the most common sources of module conflicts, so we take this seriously.

The module is multistore-aware — the tracking log records the shop ID, and category hierarchy queries include the shop context. However, platform configuration (pixel IDs, API keys) is currently global, not per-shop. If your multistores share the same advertising accounts, this is fine. If each store has separate GA4 properties or Meta pixels, you would need to configure for the primary store. Per-shop platform configuration is on the roadmap.

Enable Debug Mode in Settings → Debug tab. This logs all events to the browser console, making them visible in Chrome DevTools. You can also use the Debug Inspector (accessible from the Dashboard when debug is on) to look up any order and see the exact JSON payload that was dispatched. For Meta, use the Test Event Code field — events will appear in Meta Events Manager → Test Events. For GA4, use the Realtime report or DebugView in Google Analytics.

Yes. Our Checkout Revolution module is compatible with all standard PrestaShop payment modules — including Stripe, PayPal, Mollie, Adyen, and dozens more. It enhances the checkout layout and flow without interfering with payment processing. We've tested with over 30 payment gateways.

The add_shipping_info and add_payment_info events use a MutationObserver to detect checkout step changes by watching for elements with the .-current CSS class inside #checkout or .checkout-process. This works with the standard PrestaShop 1.7+ checkout. Heavily customized checkout modules (including our own Checkout Revolution) may use different markup, in which case these two specific events may not fire. All other events (begin_checkout, purchase, etc.) work regardless of checkout module.

Yes, Marketing Revolution supports PrestaShop 1.6.0.0 and above. On PS 1.6, there are minor limitations: the displayAfterBodyOpeningTag hook does not exist, so noscript fallbacks for GTM, Meta, and Pinterest are not rendered. Add-to-cart tracking uses click interception on cart buttons rather than the PS 1.7+ updateCart event system, which is slightly less reliable with heavily customized themes. All server-side tracking, purchase events, and platform integrations work identically across all versions.

Google Ads uses conversion labels to distinguish between different conversion actions (e.g., a purchase vs. an add-to-cart). In the Google Ads platform config, you can set separate labels for purchase, add_to_cart, begin_checkout, view_item, page_view (remarketing), sign_up, and search events. Only events with a configured label will fire conversions — empty labels are skipped. You create these labels in Google Ads → Tools & Settings → Conversions → Tag setup.

The module tracks the standard GA4 Enhanced Ecommerce event set, which covers the full purchase funnel. Custom events (like "video_play" or "form_submit") are not supported in the current version. If you use Google Tag Manager, you can add custom event tags in GTM that run alongside Marketing Revolution's dataLayer events without conflict.

Our larger, more comprehensive modules carry the "Revolution" suffix — like Checkout Revolution, SEO Revolution, Warehouse Revolution, Blog Revolution. These are full-featured suites that combine multiple functionalities into one module with a unified configuration. Our simpler, single-purpose modules have more descriptive names like "Product Canonical Manager" or "Automatic SEO Images Alt Tags".

Uninstalling removes the tracking log table and platform configuration from your database. Historical data already sent to Google Analytics, Meta, etc. remains in those platforms — uninstalling the module does not delete data from external services. If you plan to reinstall later, export your platform configuration first (pixel IDs, API keys) so you do not need to look them up again.

Some of our older modules still support PrestaShop 1.6, but we are no longer adding 1.6 support to new modules. PrestaShop 1.6 reached end-of-life years ago and has known security vulnerabilities. If you are still running 1.6, we strongly recommend planning an upgrade to at least 8.x. We can advise on the process if needed.

Yes. Google Customer Reviews (GCR) is included as the 15th platform. Configure your Merchant Center ID, set the estimated delivery days, and choose the badge position (bottom-right, bottom-left, or inline). After each purchase, customers see an opt-in to receive a Google survey. The trust badge displays your aggregate rating. Note: GCR only fires on the order confirmation page — it does not track standard ecommerce events like the other platforms.

Warehouse Revolution is a multi-warehouse inventory management module. It is designed for stores that manage stock across multiple physical locations (warehouses, stores, suppliers). If you run a single warehouse, you probably do not need it — PrestaShop's built-in stock management is sufficient. If you need to track which warehouse ships which order, manage transfer between locations, or show warehouse-specific stock levels, then Warehouse Revolution fills a real gap that PrestaShop does not cover natively.

Yes, but "large" needs qualification. We have tested it with catalogs of 10,000+ products across multiple warehouses and it performs well with proper server resources. For catalogs above 50,000 products with many combinations, you may experience slower admin pages during bulk operations — this is a database query scaling issue, not a module bug. For very large catalogs, we recommend running bulk imports and stock updates during off-peak hours.

No. Performance Revolution optimises what happens on your server — CSS/JS minification, lazy loading, image optimisation, cache management. A CDN serves your static assets from servers geographically closer to your visitors. They solve different problems and work best together. If most of your traffic is local (e.g., one country), a CDN is less critical. If you have international traffic, use both.

Yes, our Cookies Revolution GDPR module provides a fully configurable cookie consent banner with category-based consent (essential, performance, marketing, analytical). It blocks non-essential cookies and scripts until the user gives consent, and logs consent records for compliance. It does not replace a privacy policy or legal advice — you still need a lawyer to review your specific GDPR obligations.

Not natively. Digital Revolution handles one-time purchase digital products — file downloads, license key delivery, and download management. It does not manage recurring billing or subscription access. For subscriptions, you would need a dedicated subscription module that handles the recurring payment logic, possibly combined with Digital Revolution for the actual file delivery.

Yes, absolutely. Blog Revolution is just a content management system integrated into PrestaShop. You can use it for blog posts, news articles, tutorials, company updates, or any other content type. The SEO features (meta tags, friendly URLs, schema markup) work regardless of what you call your content section.

PrestaShop's default search is basic — it does simple keyword matching against product names and descriptions. Smart Search Revolution adds: autocomplete suggestions, typo tolerance, search by attributes and features, category-aware results, and search analytics to show you what customers are looking for. Whether you need it depends on your catalog size — stores with fewer than 100 products usually get by with the default search. Larger catalogs benefit significantly from better search.

Financial Revolution focuses on financial reporting and data management within PrestaShop — profit margins, cost tracking, and financial dashboards. It does not directly integrate with external accounting software like QuickBooks, Xero, or SAP. However, it can export data in formats that your accounting software can import. Direct API integration with specific accounting systems would require custom development.

Yes, it replaces the checkout page layout and flow. It does not replace your payment modules or shipping modules — those continue to work as before. What changes is the visual layout (one-page vs multi-step), the field arrangement, and the user experience. Your existing cart rules, taxes, and shipping calculations remain unaffected.

Modern browsers do support native lazy loading via the loading="lazy" attribute, but PrestaShop does not add this attribute to images by default (as of PS 8.x/9.x). Our module adds it automatically to all product and category images. If your theme already implements native lazy loading, you likely do not need the module. Check your page source — if you see loading="lazy" on image tags, your theme already handles it.

Our free modules are fully functional — they are not crippled demo versions. They tend to be simpler, single-purpose tools. The main difference is support: free modules receive community-level support (we fix bugs, but response time is not guaranteed). Paid modules get priority support with guaranteed response times. Free modules also may not receive updates as frequently as paid ones.
