Get an existing PrestaShop theme installed and configured with the safety steps merchants usually miss: child-theme structure, module compatibility checks, mobile/layout sanity review, cache handling and a launch-ready handover. We work with bought themes, agency themes and existing store themes where the licence permits it.
Theme setup starts from €690 and covers configuration, not a redesign. If the theme is the wrong fit for your store, we tell you before billing deeper work. Content migration and custom design are quoted separately.
PrestaShop theme setup with a child-theme safety net
A theme install is not just uploading a ZIP and clicking enable. PrestaShop themes bring dependencies, demo modules, hook positions, image sizes, templates, cache behaviour and update risk. If the first setup is careless, every future change becomes more fragile. This service installs and configures an existing theme, creates a safe child-theme structure where supported, checks key module compatibility and leaves the store in a launch-ready state rather than a demo-state.
What we configure
We set up the theme against your real store: PrestaShop version, languages, modules, logo, basic colours or theme settings, menu/header/footer positions, homepage blocks where the theme supports them, image regeneration needs, cache and compilation settings, and the core modules the theme expects. We do not treat the vendor demo as the goal; the goal is a stable storefront your team can maintain.
Child theme first
Where the theme and PrestaShop version allow it, we create a child-theme structure so custom CSS, templates and minor changes do not live directly inside the vendor theme. That matters because editing the parent theme is how stores get stuck: updates overwrite changes, or the merchant refuses all updates because nobody remembers what was changed. If you prefer to do the structure yourself, our free Child Theme Generator is the DIY route; this service is the done-for-you version with installation, configuration and verification around it.
What we verify before handover
- Theme health: theme enabled, required assets present, cache/compile settings stable and no obvious fatal front-office errors.
- Module compatibility: key modules still render in the expected hooks, especially product, cart, checkout, account and reassurance areas.
- Mobile and layout sanity: header, menu, product page, category page, cart and checkout are checked for obvious broken spacing, hidden controls or unusable mobile layout.
- Update safety: child-theme structure and handover note make clear where safe changes should live.
What is deliberately excluded
This is setup, not custom design and not content migration. We do not rebuild your brand, redesign page templates from scratch, migrate every CMS/product/category block, rewrite copy, crop a full image library or create new theme behaviour under this fixed starting price. Those are quote-based tasks. If the theme cannot support the layout or behaviour you want through existing options, we will say so and scope the correct next step instead of hiding design work inside setup.
When to review before setup
If you are still choosing a theme, start with the Theme Suitability Review. It checks candidate themes for version support, child-theme safety, module hooks, performance, mobile UX and accessibility before you buy. Pairing that review with setup prevents the common pattern of buying a beautiful demo that does not survive your real module stack.
Launch-ready handover
At the end you get a handover covering installed theme, child-theme location, configured areas, modules checked, mobile/layout observations, known exclusions and any items that need a separate quote. For continuing changes, small fixes and module/theme maintenance after launch, Care Core is the clean path.

Install, configure and verify an existing theme with child-theme safety.
We install and configure an existing PrestaShop theme, create a safe child-theme structure where supported, check key module compatibility and review mobile/layout sanity. If the theme is the wrong fit for your store, we tell you before billing deeper work.
Theme install and baseline configuration
We set the theme up against your real shop, not just the vendor demo.
- Install the theme package and required companion modules where licence and version allow
- Configure logo, basic theme settings, layout options, image sizes and cache/compile behaviour
- Keep parent-theme edits out of the setup wherever a child-theme route is available
Child-theme and maintainability
Future updates should not wipe simple customisations.
- Create a safe child-theme structure for CSS, templates and minor theme-specific changes
- Document where future changes belong and where the parent theme should stay untouched
- Point DIY users to the free Child Theme Generator when full service is not needed
Compatibility and launch sanity
We check the visible paths that decide whether the theme is usable.
- Check key module hook output on product, category, cart, checkout, account and reassurance areas
- Review mobile/header/menu/product/cart/checkout layouts for obvious breakage
- Send a launch-ready handover with checked items, exclusions and remaining quote-based work

Included, excluded and access
Theme setup gets an existing theme ready to use, with a maintainable child-theme path.
Setup is not a disguised redesign
If a theme cannot place a module where you need it, or its templates cannot support the layout through existing options, we say so. Custom design, content migration and new behaviour are quoted separately; setup keeps to existing theme capabilities.
