Config System: Shared Module Configuration
Shared configuration store for PrestaShop modules: one ps_mpr_config table, with values kept separately per shop and per language.
Configuration that just works
PrestaShop's native Configuration::get() is flat key/value storage, and every module's settings land in the same global ps_configuration table.
The Config System provides a dedicated ps_mpr_config table with proper namespacing, per-shop scoping and multi-language values, alongside its ps_mpr_config_lang companion.
What it provides
- Namespaced storage: each module's config lives in its own namespace, no collisions
- Per-shop scoping: the same key can hold a different value in each shop of a multistore
- Explicit reads: a key that was never written returns null, so a missing setting is visible rather than silently defaulted
- Multi-language: config values that differ per language (labels, descriptions) are stored with language association
- Shared table: all modules use one
ps_mpr_configtable, created by whichever module installs first
Used everywhere
With 78 installed module copies using this system, it is one of our most deployed packages. It handles the mundane but critical task of reading and writing module configuration.
