PrestaShop Module Installation & Configuration Service is a managed setup service for PrestaShop stores that installs and configures one existing module, then verifies the customer or staff journey in which it must work. Starting takes a concise brief: the module, the expected result and the required access.

An installed module is not yet a business result. The service connects the module’s settings to its real task in the shop, confirms the outcome on the relevant storefront or staff screen and records what was changed, instead of leaving an unexplained enabled status behind.

A written scope confirmation before work begins records the affected screen or journey, included settings, required accounts and licences, known dependencies, exclusions and the evidence that marks completion. You choose the result, the journey to verify and the work location: a test copy first where one exists, or the live shop in an agreed window with the current backup confirmed and the reversal method written down beforehand. The listed price covers that confirmed scope for one module; complex connections to outside services, work beyond the scope and additional modules receive their own quotation.

Configuration follows the module’s purpose: carrier services and checkout choices for shipping, order states matched to transaction outcomes for payment, agreed purchase events for sales measurement, placement and visibility for product-page modules, and correction of a broken earlier installation of the same module within the confirmed scope. Verification exercises a representative end-to-end journey, including successful, failed and cancelled outcomes for payment work, and the work completes in 2 to 4 working days once the scope, access details and module package are confirmed, with an agreed live-shop window sometimes extending the calendar time. The written completion record carries the installed package, applied settings, decisions, verification results with evidence, unresolved points, outside dependencies and reversal steps, and a 14-day email window covers questions about the delivered configuration.

The result is a module doing its intended shop job, a verified journey rather than an enabled status, reversible changes and a handover that saves future support work.

Summary of what the Module Installation & Configuration Service delivers

PrestaShop Module Installation & Configuration Service installs and configures one existing module in a PrestaShop store, verifies the agreed customer or staff journey and documents the result. The outcome is a module doing its shop job with retained evidence, not an installation status.

  • A written scope confirmation before work begins, covering settings, dependencies and exclusions
  • Configuration matched to the module’s real purpose in checkout, storefront or staff screens
  • A test copy first where one exists; live work in an agreed window with a written reversal method
  • Verification of a representative end-to-end journey, with the evidence retained
  • Completion in 2 to 4 working days once scope, access and the module package are confirmed
  • A written completion record and a 14-day email window for questions afterwards

What is agreed before work begins?

A concise request starts the assignment with the selected module, the result expected in the shop and the access route. The confirmed scope then records the affected screen or journey, included settings, required accounts and licences, known dependencies, exclusions and the evidence that marks completion.

The listed price applies to that confirmed scope for one module. Complex connections to outside services and work beyond the written scope receive a separate quotation before they begin, and each additional module is its own assignment at its own price, so a simple module stays simple while a demanding setup receives the time it requires.

What does configuration change in daily shop work?

The specialist configures the module around its real job. A shipping module receives the agreed carrier services and checkout choices, a payment module receives order states matched to transaction outcomes, a sales-measurement module records the agreed purchase events, and a product-page module receives the right placement and visibility.

The result is verified where the merchant, customer or employee actually uses it. When a previous installation left broken settings or a conflict behind, the assignment identifies the cause, corrects it within the confirmed scope and repeats the relevant journey. A setting that merely saves successfully is never treated as proof that the shop task works.

Where does the work take place, and how are changes protected?

The request becomes a tracked assignment with a named specialist, a protected channel for access details and visible progress from intake to completion. The module package, licence, dependencies and outside approvals stay connected to the same record, so missing information becomes an explicit block rather than an invisible delay.

Where a test copy exists, installation and configuration begin there. Live-shop work happens only in an agreed window with the current backup confirmed and the reversal method written down before the first change, which gives the store a controlled route forward and back.

What is verified before completion?

Verification follows a plan written for the module’s purpose: installation state, retained settings, the relevant storefront or staff screen and a representative end-to-end journey. Payment work includes the agreed successful, failed and cancelled outcomes, shipping work includes the intended delivery choices, and sales measurement includes the agreed events and their expected count.

Each verification point records its result and evidence, and a failed point returns for correction and another run. When an outside account, contract or approval still blocks a step at completion, the record names the dependency instead of presenting the path as finished.

How long does it take, and what remains after handover?

The work completes in 2 to 4 working days after the scope, access details and module package are confirmed complete; an agreed live-shop window sometimes extends the calendar time without extending the work. The written completion record is the handover: installed package, applied settings, decisions, verification results with evidence, unresolved points, outside dependencies and reversal steps. A 14-day email window covers questions about the delivered configuration.

The module publisher remains responsible for its features and updates, and the payment company, carrier or other provider remains responsible for its own account, contract and availability; the module licence itself is bought separately. Changes to what the module does, new features, code modification and custom behaviour, are development work rather than configuration. The service suits a merchant who has bought a module and wants it doing its actual business job, verified on the real journey, or whose earlier installation left broken settings behind.

Install, configure and verify an existing module on your real PrestaShop store.

We set up an existing module - ours or third-party - with a compatibility check, agreed configuration, smoke test and rollback note. If the module is the wrong fit for your store, we tell you before billing deeper work.

Service type Setup and configuration Existing modules only
Price EUR 290 fixed Complex payment, feed, tracking or third-party modules from EUR 590
Turnaround Usually 1-3 business days From access, module package and credentials
Scope Install, configure, smoke test, rollback note
What we verify Install health, agreed settings, affected front/back-office path
PrestaShop versions 1.6 / 1.7 / 8 / 9 Where the module itself supports your version

Pre-check and safe install

We look for the problems that turn a simple install into a broken store.

  • Review module package, docs, declared PrestaShop/PHP compatibility and licence constraints
  • Check obvious hook, override, theme, cache and duplicate-module conflict risks
  • Install on staging where available, or on live only with agreed timing and rollback path

Configuration and placement

The agreed options are configured in the right shop, language and theme context.

  • Enter agreed settings, credentials, API keys, cron URLs or feed URLs supplied by you
  • Place hooks, blocks or positions where the module and theme support them
  • Adjust PrestaShop cache and module settings safely for the target version

Verification and handover

Setup ends with a visible check and a clear note, not a silent install.

  • Smoke-test the affected storefront, checkout, feed, tracking or admin path
  • Check for obvious PHP, JavaScript, cache or back-office errors after setup
  • Send a handover with configured items, test result, limits and rollback note

How it works

  1. Intake Start
You send the module package or source, store version, target outcome, access and any vendor credentials.
  2. Compatibility check Before install
We review the package, docs and visible conflict risks before installing.
  3. Install and configure Work session
We install the module and apply the agreed settings in the correct shop and language context.
  4. Verify Before handover
We smoke-test the path the module affects and check for obvious errors.
  5. Handover Final step
You receive the setup note, verification result, known limits and rollback note.

Boundaries and access

This is a practical setup service for existing module capabilities, with clear limits.

Included Install, agreed configuration, basic compatibility/conflict check, smoke test and rollback note
Not included New behaviour, code changes, custom integrations, data migration or vendor support escalation Quoted separately
Warranty We correct setup mistakes against the agreed configuration Vendor/module defects are outside our control
Access needed Back-office admin, module package, credentials/API keys and staging or live access Host access only when the module needs it

A setup can end with an honest stop

If a shipping module installs but cannot support your carrier rule, or a tracking module conflicts with your consent stack, we do not pretend configuration can solve it. We explain the limit and route you to Module Fit Assessment or Custom Module Development only when that is the right next step.

FAQ

Can you install third-party modules?
Yes. We can install and configure our modules or third-party modules, provided the licence allows it and the module supports your PrestaShop/PHP version.
What makes a module complex?
Payment, feed, tracking, ERP, marketplace and external-account modules often need credentials, callbacks, cron, consent checks or end-to-end testing. Those usually start from EUR 590.
Will you customise the module code?
No. This service uses existing module options. New behaviour, code changes or bespoke integrations belong in Custom Module Development.
What if the module is a bad fit?
If the module is the wrong fit for your store, we tell you before billing deeper work. If you need a decision before buying, start with Module Fit Assessment.
Do you work on live stores?
Yes when needed, but staging is preferred. On live we agree timing, backup status and rollback path first.
What do I receive at the end?
A short handover covering what was installed, what was configured, what was tested, known limits and a rollback note.
