What happens if the VIES VAT service is unavailable in PrestaShop?
You can choose whether VIES outages accept, reject or skip validation. In PrestaShop the ON_UNAVAILABLE setting controls the address-form result, while cached checks can reduce repeated live calls through the configurable CACHE_HOURS value.
