Can a customer influence which account they are shown?
No. The account is worked out on your server from the order's own currency and shop, and any account identifier arriving with the request is ignored outright rather than trusted or even compared. The check runs again before the order is created, so a request that would no longer be offered the payment method is refused instead of going through.
